Our cat Max likes to sit. I mean he likes to sit like regular human folk. We sometimes think it's rather impolite since he exposes a little too much of himself, but who can't help and laugh when they see how comfortably odd he looks.

This is a pic of the "hug boxes" our Girl Scout Brownies made today. I saw the idea on eHow and knew it would be perfect for the girls to give to their moms. Instead of using wooden boxes I made paper boxes.

Every year our town has a rodeo. Yesterday Audrey made some homemade clay at the rodeo and this morning the kids had a blast using their imagination as they created some animals. What fun!

I've been trying to quiet my mind. But, it's not obeying 100%. It's a blabbermouth of ideas and thoughts lately. And every now and then I can make out what it's trying to tell me. So, that brings me to this post. This post on May 1st. By the way, Happy May Day!!

A few days ago I was reading through blogs and came upon the most cool post. French Toast Girl wrote about joining her in her Every Day in May "challenge".


The idea is to commit to create something every day in May. This sounds like something I need to do. I will try to take a picture of something in my life every day, find a suitable quote and share it with you all. With May Day on the brain I snapped a quick shot of this little flower my lovely Audrey picked for me. It brightened my heart and made me smile. I hope it makes you smile too.

Enjoying it all right now

The sun is shining. The sky is too-blue and the hills are alive with colors and sounds and movement. The earth finally rose up from her slumber and she's sharing all her sweetest dreams with us.

Springtime is definitely a time where I re-awaken from crafty inactivity. I have many projects in my head and I can only keep my fingers crossed that they grow into something real. Right now I'm enjoying spring and all the cool stuff you can make. Since Easter is right around the corner I knit two little Easter Bunnies for the kids. Meet Bunny 1 and Bunny 2.

In other crafty corners, Audrey and I made some God's Eyes. I was inspired by an awesome tutorial via
Coiled. It was fun to search for our branches and sticks upon which to house our Eyes. And I love the mythology behind God's Eyes and what it symbolizes. I think I like them because it would be nice to have "the power to see and understand all things unknown" (definition found at Wikipedia). It was a great day of weaving and chatting for us girls.
