I want to learn how to do this

I'm sure most of you have seen the pretty palette pics that are on certain sites. Design-Seeds happens to have some of the prettiest.



I wish I knew how to make my own palettes from some of my own pics. Anyone out there know how and would be willing to teach me? I'd be a good student. I wanted to make a palette from this picture I found online:
